When leaving town for the weekend, (or anywhere for that matter) I try and pack healthy snacks to have on hand. I love having quick items to grab for breakfast before going outdoors, as well as throughout the day.
For our anniversary, I surprised my boyfriend with a weekend in the Rolling Huts, with snow shoeing and cross country skiing planned so packing snacks to give us energy was a necessity.
Since I knew we would want to get up and go, I pre mixed overnight oats (oats + chia + flax + hemp hearts) and almond milk to mix the night before.
Before leaving the huts, I made homemade granola to add with pom seeds and raspberries for our greek yogurt. We grabbed apples and kind bars for our adventures.
